Info for Organizers

We have been overwhelmed with requests for "how-to" information and advice for starting a Farm-to-Table event.  So we wrote it all down!

Our Farm to Table Planning Guide is a 14 page, detailed overview that covers
  • how our dinner came to be
  • key volunteers and their roles
  • our planning timeline
  • a detailed description of the day of the event
  • lessons learned about ticket sales, volunteer coordination, seating, etc
  • a sample menu
Five years of experience and lots of volunteer time went into compiling this information, so we do ask for a donation in exchange for our guide.  We are sure this info will shorten your planning process and give a useful road map to follow based on our experience.

We suggest a donation of $25 for the guide, but are grateful for any contribution.
Use this paypal link; once we get your info, the guide will be emailed to you as a PDF.

Donations of $75 or more will include up to 45 minutes of consultation (which can be divided into multiple calls). We can also share other resources such as budgets, additional menus, and volunteer orientation documents.

Another great way to learn would be to come volunteer at our next dinner....that's a real a backstage pass! August 19th, 2017!

Thank you for your interest!

from Milford, DE:
Karen was instrumental in helping us develop and coordinate our own farm to table event to support Downtown Milford, Inc and our local Riverwalk Farmers Market.  They were generous with their advice and welcomed all our questions and concerns as we worked on the kinks in our planning and implementation.  We still check in often for tips and tricks.  Just the seating plan is worth every penny! 2016 will be our 4th year hosting this event and the expectation is to raise $15,000+ this year!  Thanks Jonesborough Farmers Market for supporting small towns all over the map!"

From Lexington, KY
I’d like to report back to you that we had a very successful event in Winchester, KY.  We sold out 100 tickets in less than 3 hours, had 19 business sponsors, 11 farmers providing food and our net profit will be right at $6000.  We are already starting to think about next year!!  The planning guide from Jonesborough was a huge help to me!!   Thanks again!
